I market small business owners and have a video I show to them. As opposed to bringing in some hefty laptop or buying a mac air, I will load my video on the ipad and show it to the business owner that way. I haven’t looked into it too much. Now that I am thinking about it, does the damn thing have speakers??? People are also saying that it is a giant ipod. NOT TRUE!!! last time I checked you couldn’t get iwork with an ipod…which I use numbers and pages for most of my work… For those that do not know…you can drag a pdf into pages, edit what you need to edit, then go to file, print, save as pdf. Pages is a pdf editor as well!!!

It might not make that much of an impact now, but it’s effect will increase, as Apple adds on to it. The iPad is currently getting a lot of criticism, but Apple’s stock will still probably increase. It might not have too much of an effect now, but like the iPod Touch, it will probably create a strong impact. I wouldn’t be surprised if celebrities sponsor it. After all, Stephen Colbert endorsed it at the Grammy’s, even before it was released. Apple’s products are always pretty reliable in terms of sales, but if this essay is due after the iPad comes out, then I would recommend waiting. If not, check blogs (on both sides), the media, and other sources. Good Luck

In my opinion i feel that this is a huge letdown from apple… and i bet they are going to cell nearly half of what they expect to be sold…I am getting one, just to point it out… i guess it would just look nice on a table… (umm ok i need a better reason) .. anyways benefit the economy.. well i dont see how…. and businesses well unless the iphone dev-team (ipad-dev-team in the future lol) manages to hack this thing and have it be able to connect to a PC or MAC and be used as a multitouch tablet then i dont see how…

it doesnt…its just a fancy maxi pad you can touch, without getting nasty residue on your hands or other anatomy i suppose…if you are into that

If I was in your position, I would be telling the person who set the essay that it is grossly unfair to expect people to write about the economic implications of a product that hasn’t even been released yet
