Why You Need an Ipad

Why an iPad? What is better about the iPad that you can’t get from Kindle, iTouch, iPhone, or even a laptop?  Let’s go through all of the pros and cons of the iPad and then you’ll have all the information you’ll need to make an educated decision on whether the iPad is right for you.

It’s the “New Toy”.
Let’s see a show of hands, how many of us want the iPad because it is currently the coolest thing in the world? With a $499 + price tag and the reported  limitations most people would say it’s still worth it because of  it’s sleek, sexy screen, that flawless aluminum back and that almighty software that has more power in it than you can ever imagine it won’t take you long to love the device too.  And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to show off one of the newest and coolest new toy’s to their friends and family, not to mention total strangers that will ask you all about it when you pull it out at the local coffee shop!

Kindle or iPad?
Kindle sales have been dropping ever since the iPad came out. There are obvious advantages to having an iPad over the Kindle, but you also have to stop and think of the price, is it worth the over double the price of the Kindle?  Are you going to use all of the applications on the iPad or do you just want it because it’s shiny and new?  If all you are going to use the iPad for is to read books then don’t spend the $$, but if you are going to use the software provided and use it for how it is intended then go for it!

Like Games?
If you like games and have one of those hand held gaming systems then you will definately love the advantages of the iPad when it comes to gaming! From the multi-touchscreen capabilities to the landscape/portrait abilities and of course the ability of switching glossy screen what’s not to like!  As an extra feature it does add value and most would agree,it certainly exceeds expectations!

Apps and more Apps!
With over 150,000 apps what more could you ask for or want?  From 3D games, sticky notes and map systems you’ll have access to more apps than you could ever use, and developers will soon be adding even more apps for you to choose from at Apples App Store.

Weight and Portability
At 1.5 pounds and with all of the possibilities and application you really can’t complain much about the iPad.  Try carrying around your laptop or even desk top for all they can do and then grab the iPad and see which you would prefer!  I can almost guarantee you that you would be hard pressed to find a reason to grab your laptop the next time you needed to run out but wanted access to your work, the net etc.

All in all, I would have to say the Apple iPad is well worth the price.  There isn’t much you can’t do, and for the few complaints they do have I am sure you can find more with your notebook or laptop.  Function and abilities really do exceed expectations.
